Dirt SS Series Post-Race: Eldora, Race #7
The SimPossible Racing League headed back to Eldora, Ohio for the third time this season. Travis Zuidema entered the race as the points leader.
Eddie Hawks nailed his qualifying lap, grabbing pole. He went on to win his heat, leading all 10 laps. In the second heat, Fernando Mattos and Kyle Zimmer traded the lead for six laps before Kyle accidentally spun Fernando. The chaos allowed Nate Kotila to sneak by Kyle for the win.
Eddie and Nate shared the front row for the main event. Eddie led for 48 of 60 laps tonight. He would lose the lead while fighting side by side with Tim Masters. Tim was able to get out in front in the final restart, and held off Eddie for his first Dirt SS Series win and his first SimPossible Racing League career win.
The race had nine cautions, six lead changes and four different leaders.
Next Week's Headline: Travis extended his lead to nine points over Kevin Cochran heading into the final race of the season in the Dirt Street Stock Series next week at USA Speedway. Travis and Kevin will fight for the very first Dirt SS Championship. Both drivers are fighting for their first championship in their SimPossible Racing League resumes.
